Among these effects are deformed daisies.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first report of strange, freaky things happening in and around Fukushima. There have been stories published about\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/blogs\/headlines\/2013\/07\/deformed-vegetables-fruit-reportedly-pop-up-around-japan-nuclear-plant\/\" target=\"_blank\">deformed fruit<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.livescience.com\/22353-mutant-butterflies-japan-fukushima-disaster.html\" target=\"_blank\">mutant butterflies<\/a>\u00a0but the latest is a daisy flower posted by a Twitter user (@san_kaido), who took the photo in Nasushiobara City, which is about 70 miles from Fukushima.<\/p>\n<p>Four years after the disaster at Japan\u2019s Fukushima nuclear power plant, odd\u00a0things still are happening to the plants and animals living there.<\/p>\n<p>Recent years have brought reports of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/blogs\/headlines\/2013\/07\/deformed-vegetables-fruit-reportedly-pop-up-around-japan-nuclear-plant\/\" target=\"_blank\">deformed fruit<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.livescience.com\/22353-mutant-butterflies-japan-fukushima-disaster.html\" target=\"_blank\">mutant butterflies<\/a>, but the latest is a remarkable photo of deformed daisies posted on Twitter by @san_kaido, who took the photo below in Nasushiobara City, which lies about 70 miles from Fukushima.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The translated tweet reads:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe right one grew up, split into 2 stems to have 2 flowers connected each other, having 4 stems of flower tied belt like.\u00a0The left one has 4 stems grew up to be tied to each other and it had the ring-shaped flower. The atmospheric dose is 0.5 \u03bcSv\/h at 1m above the ground.\u201d The last sentence from the tweet \u2014 about the radiation dose now being \u201c0.5 \u03bcSv\/h at 1m above the ground\u201d \u2014 describes the radiation dose per hour that\u2019s now present at the site where the photo above was taken.<\/p>\n<p>These numbers are classified as safe for \u201cmedium to long term habitation\u201d\u00a0according to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gavinshoebridge.com\/news\/basic-guide-to-radiation-levels-in-%C2%B5svh-and-msvh\/\" target=\"_blank\">this explanation of radiation levels<\/a>. The Japanese government recently allowed 7,000 residents return home to a town near the Fukushima plant, four years after they were forced to evacuate. As the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/worldnews\/asia\/japan\/11725300\/Thousands-of-residents-to-return-home-following-Fukushima-nuclear-disaster.html\" target=\"_blank\">London Telegraph learned<\/a>, however, it\u2019s unclear how many residents actually will go back to live there permanently. \u201cThere are no shops. There are no doctors.
